Jace and Ella have known each other since childhood in this romance novel. Dragons have the ability to influence the peace and stability of the world. Dragons also can exist in the form of humans or dragons and they can change their form through their mind. The mate of a dragon must be the one to whom he or she gives virginity and dragons have no second choice until her or his mate dies, which is different from other beings. Moreover, a tattoo which identifies each other’s mate will be left when two dragons give each other virginity. Therefore, a dragon cherishes his virginity very much in order to choose an ideal mate and have a happy time in the rest of their life.

Drake Hamilton is a renowned dragon who runs the Hamilton Group, a leading company in the world with diverse businesses. The Hamilton family  is the most influential clan among dragons. Drake Hamilton is the young man who wins the most attention from the public due to his excellent ability and handsome appearance. Therefore, many girls admire him and hope to be his mate someday. However, his indifference and ruthlessness let them dare not to approach him. Although most people have heard the stories about his super power, Few people have seen it personally. Drake Hamilton has a stepmother when his mother dies and her father finds a mate again. His stepmother takes step siblings to form  a new family with his father. Like other girls, his stepsister, Caroline, also likes him secretly and plans to be his mate someday. However, she is also afraid of Drake, not to mention approaching him directly. Then, she tries to design conspiracies to achieve her aims. In a banquet, she mixes a kind of drug with Whisky secretly and hypnotizes a waiter to serve Drake. At the moment, Drake is chatting with his best friend. Of course, he wouldn’t like to accept it because it’s not ordered by himself , while his friend says that his father might order it for him. Then, he drinks it. After a few moments, he feels that his body becomes hotter and hotter, realizing what happens to him. In order to avoid losing control and consciousness, he transforms into the form of a dragon and flies to a forest at a high speed. He flies so fast that Caroline fails to follow him. Before arriving at a remote forest, he falls down in a place where humans live. Then he encounters Nyra who is going for a walk. Seeing his suffering, Nyra asks whether she can offer help. He just lets her leave as soon as possible to avoid being hurt. She worries about his safety and is hesitant. Then Drake loses control and hugs her tightly……

The most interesting element that I think in this novel is its design of background. In this novel, the virginity of characters is very important because it determines the one whom you choose to spend the rest of your life with. Once a dragon gives its virginity to someone, he or she must mate with the person. They can’t change mates until their mate dies. I wonder whether romantic relationships controlled by such a convention are purer than that uncontrolled. Meantime, Will dragons controlled by this convention have a more happy life? No matter what the answers are, I think that their atitudes toward sex behaviors will be more cautious at least. Besides that, the values conveyed by this novel are worth being advocated. No matter how the times change and develop, the most touching qualities are honesty and kindness forever. That’s the reason why Drake fell in love with Nyra.
