In the real life, many people are not statisfied with their life, but few of them have courage to change and to make a effort for their ideal life. Change is never an easy thing, which is a risky business. But some individuals, just like Cassy, think highly of freedom and would like to face risks for it. Cassy give up her stabe life for her freedom of choosing husband, Then will she succeed?

The design of plots in this novel is complex and beyond general thoughts. Madeline Crawford has loved Jeremy Whitman for twelve years, how many twelves years can we have in this life? Readers can feel her deep love for Jeremy Whitman. However, it is Jeremy Whitman whom she loved for many years that sent her to prison, it's really one of sad stories. However, in the period, Madeline's love geadually become hate and form strong strength, by which, she trys to learn how to be a baddie and a heartless woman to revenge. Finally, she succeeded, but she is always seems to live in darkness, then the moon drops, will the sun rise?
